Counter-UAS Safety Net

Counter-UAS Safety Net

The Counter-UAS Safety Net provides a fully passive, physical layer of protection for critical infrastructure, military facilities, hangars, and other high-value assets. High-strength synthetic-fiber netting is positioned around or above the protected area to intercept and contain hostile drones before they reach their intended target. Requiring no power, electronics, or operator response, the system serves as a dependable final line of defense when active counter-UAS measures are unavailable or unsuccessful.

Every Counter-UAS Safety Net system is fully customizable to the customer’s protected assets, site layout, access requirements, environmental conditions, and desired coverage area. Net panels can be manufactured in a wide range of sizes and shapes, while the supporting structure can be configured as an arched enclosure, geodesic dome, overhead canopy, perimeter barrier, or other site-specific design. Clearance height, entry points, attachment methods, and protection zones can also be adapted for permanent or semi-permanent installations.

Anti-Drone Laser Optical Disruption System

The EDI Anti-Drone Laser Optical Disruption System is a compact, high-performance counter-UAS solution developed for authorized security, defense, and critical infrastructure applications. Its precision beam-shaping and collimation technology projects a tightly focused laser spot over extended distances, disrupting unmanned aircraft electro-optical sensors through glare, saturation, image washout, and reduced contrast.

Designed for rapid handheld deployment or integration with larger weapon platforms, the system supports long-range target indication, pointing, and visual cueing. At distances of up to 1,000 meters or more, the laser can significantly degrade drone camera performance and may cause permanent imaging-sensor damage, reducing the UAV operator’s visibility, navigation capability, and situational awareness. Its rugged aluminum construction, selectable power modes, and standardized mounting interface make it suitable for demanding field operations.

Available in two versions, both include handheld grip and mounting setup:

EDI’s Drone Detector Model 3 is a warzone-tested radio spectrum analyzer that detects FPV, DJI, Autel, and other drones within seconds. It scans wide-band signals across 1.2, 2.4 or 3.3, and 5.8 GHz frequencies, giving users early warnings of approaching UAVs.

Adjustable signal sensitivity and a 2–5 km (1.25–3.1 mile) detection range ensure over 95% of quadcopters are detected before they reach you. Instant sound and LED alerts provide fast response in the field.

The EDI Wearable Drone Detector Model 4 is a portable, advanced drone detector with a built-in screen, designed to quickly identify FPV drones and quadcopters within a 2.5–5 km (1.55–3.1 mile) range. It provides real-time alerts via visual, vibration, and audio signals, enhancing security and situational awareness. The device can also intercept video signals from FPV drones.

EDI’s Display Screen  is a user-friendly portable monitor, an optional accessory to the EDI Drone Detector Model 3, for displaying intercepted video from drones. It is fully compatible with the Model 3, enabling the user to intercept both the drone’s radio signal and its video feed, providing clear visuals and mobility in the field.

*This is an add-on item sold separately from the Drone Detector Model 3.

A Monitor Holder is also available separately for attaching the Display Screen to the user’s ballistic vest or other clothing/gear.

Signal Simulator

EDI’s three-band signal simulator with camera simulates drone radio signals, including video transmission, across 1.2 GHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5.8 GHz bands.

The simulator is used for fully testing detectors and other protection systems, as well as for demo/training sessions with drone detectors and video-interception devices.

External Antenna

External Antenna

EDI’s external antenna for the Drone Detector can be mounted on a vehicle, extending the range and speed of drone detection; the antenna allows the detector to operate from inside a vehicle.

Frequency Ranges:

  • Version A: 1080–1360 MHz, 2370–2510 MHz, 4900–6050 MHz
  • Version B: 1080–1360 MHz, 3060–3500 MHz, 4900–6050 MHz

This accessory is essential for in-vehicle use, as it significantly improves both detection range and speed. Without external antennas, the effective range can be reduced to just 500 meters (0.31 miles) due to signal obstruction caused by the car’s body. The external antennas eliminate this issue, providing stable signal reception. The system integrates easily with the EDI Drone Detector, enabling optimal real-time monitoring inside a vehicle.

Monitor Holder

The Monitor Holder is an add-on accessory that securely holds EDI’s video display screen. It is MOLLE-webbing compatible, and can attach to the user’s ballistic vest. Elastic rubberized straps ensure the monitor sits securely and snugly in the holder.
