Rifle-Resistant Ballistic Helmet

The EDI-USA^® Rifle Resistant Ballistic Helmet is law enforcement and military’s helmet of choice for comprehensive ballistic head protection for high-risk rifle threats. It consists of three (3) parts:

– EDI-USA^® High-Cut Helmet Base. Tested to NIJ III-A ambient ballistic resistance. Includes comfortable anti-trauma padding, and adjustable head ratchet knob system, lending added protection and a secure fit. A durable chinstrap with quick-release function enables immediate one-handed removal. Base is available in two (2) sizes: M/L, and L/XL.

– EDI-USA^® Rifle Resistant Helmet Cover, Front. Tested to resist up to 1 shot of rifle round 7.62×51 M80, or 1 shot of rifle round 5.56×45 M193.

– EDI-USA^® Rifle Resistant Helmet Cover, Back. Tested to resist up to 1 shot of rifle round 7.62×51 M80, or 1 shot of rifle round 5.56×45 M193.

The base is tested to resist up to the standard four (4) shots of NIJ level III-A ambient threats, and each cover is tested to resist one (1) additional level III shot. The helmet is also tested to STANAG 2920 (V50) fragmentation performance and is manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 production certification.

This helmet has built-in space around both ears to accommodate headphones or other over-ear communication devices. Two (2) picatinny side rails, a dual-attached external bungee, and one (1) front NVG mount allow users to attach additional modifications. This combination, along with our lightweight armor technology, allows for hours of comfortable wear, while also helping to ensure user protection during high-risk operations.
