EDI Kicks Off 2026 at SHOT Show in Las Vegas
ExecDefense USA started the new year off strong at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Our team of sales and tactical experts talked with attendees about EDI’s wide and expanding array of protective gear, including our top-of-the-line ballistic helmets, ballistic shields, and riot gear. Two new introductions drew a lot of interest from attendees: our rifle-resistant helmets, and police horse riot gear.

The expo, hosted by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), has been running annually for 48 years.
According to the organizers’ Facts and Figures page, the Law Enforcement section of the expo has seen rapid growth over the last 20 years, and EDI’s team was on hand to discuss our solutions for LEO safety, riot control operations, and tactical readiness.
With the continued rise of high-caliber firearms being used by criminal offenders and domestic terrorists, EDI’s recently-introduced high-cut and MICH-style rifle-resistant ballistic helmets attracted a lot of attention. These helmets— the former featuring a two-piece rifle-resistant shell, the latter with rifle-level protection built into its MICH-style body— protect the user from one shot of 7.62×51mm M80.
Safety and security is an important focus around the world, and both law enforcement and military are increasingly being required to perform crowd-control and other tactical operations. Our line of riot suits and riot helmets provide comprehensive protection for LEOs in the line of duty during riot-control operations.
Municipalities are also reintroducing or rebuilding their mounted police units for enhanced visibility, high vantage point, and intimidation factor. EDI’s line of riot-control protective gear for police horses was prominently shown at our SHOT Show booth; this gear provides comprehensive protection for the mounted animal’s front, sides, legs, and face. Also on display were our K9 ballistic vests.

Our team enjoyed meeting and talking with members of the safety and security communities at SHOT Show this January, and we look forward to another year of working together with our men and women in uniform to keep personnel safe and secure as they protect us.
